A gallery from the salt flats

Twelve hours, one horizon, no shade. A set from the flattest place either of us has stood.

There is nothing to photograph on a salt flat, which is precisely why it is the best place to photograph. No foreground, no landmark, no help. Just you, a horizon that goes all the way round, and the decision about where to put the line.

We left when the light went and the temperature followed it down. Tomás got one frame he liked. That is a good day.
